At The Reformation, Besides The Parish Church At Kirkb Ylonsdale, There Were Small Chapels At Barbon And Hutton Roof, And A Private Chapel Attached To Killington Hall, Used By The Inhabitants Of Firbank And Killington. At The Present Day, The Parish Of Kirkby Lonsdale Includes The Chapelries Of Firbank With A Small Church Rebuilt In 1842 On A New Site. The Former Chapel, Which Stood On "The Fell", Is Mentioned In The Life Of George Fox, The Quaker, As Existing Before 1652.
